Autumn

I am so excited that its autumn. I like spring and summer, but autumn and winter are my absolute favourite seasons. I'm so excited to start uploading autumn themed blogposts and taking autumnal photos. In this post I've decided to share some of my autumn essentials too. I have some things that I'm excited to wear and use this autumn.

Warm drinks | I drink warm drinks all year round, however its even more of an essential in the autumn. Fruit teas are an essential in autumn.

Hand cream | my hands are dry all year round, but especially in the colder seasons. I recently got a hand cream specifically for the colder seasons. My hands get a lot drier during autumn and winter, so this is a huge essential for me.

Candles | I love having candles on in the autumnal evenings, it makes it really cosy. I've had this candle (in the photo) for a couple of years, but I've never actually lit it. I want to light it this year because its orange scented and it smells amazing when it isn't lit, so I want to know how strong the scent is when it is. I like candles, but I don't like having them on in my room.

Cosy socks/slippers | its finally time to start wearing thicker socks and slippers. I love wearing cosy socks and slippers.

Darker lips | I wear dark lips all year, but they look really nice in the autumn with an autumnal makeup look.

High neck tops | I've been looking forward to wearing my high neck tops. I cannot wait to wear them with scarves, a big jacket, skirts and boots.

Gold/bronze/brown eyeshadows | my usual go-to look is gold/bronze/brown eyeshadows. In the spring and summer, I stepped away from from those shades and started to play around with more different ones. I know I'm going to be wearing gold/bronze/brown a lot again. They're going to be a huge essential.

Face masks and moisturisers | I love face masks and moisturisers. Both are an essential all year, however I have two newish ones I'm looking forward to using during the autumn. I've been using them recently, but I want to see how well they work during the colder weather when my dry skin gets worse. Face masks are an essential on cosy autumnal pamper evenings.

Jumpers | I'm extremely excited to wear all of my jumpers again and style them. Jumpers are always an essential during autumn and they're what I wear most of the season.

Dark nail polish | I'm determined to wear dark nail polish this autumn and winter. I wear pink, blue and white nail polish all year round, so I want to wear darker nail polish as a change.

Hats, scarves and gloves | every time it was cloudy and fairly cold in august, all I could thinks about was getting my hats and scarves out. I didn't, but it was tempting. I'm extremely excited that I can start wearing them now. I love wearing scarves and my wooly hats.

  5. I really want to buy some new darker lippies for this time of year! I get such dry skin as well that hand cream is super high up on my radar, but I'd definitely add scarves to the list
