Spectrum brush set - 10 piece essentials

Today I have an exciting post about these incredible brushes by Spectrum. I have been looking at Spectrum brushes for the longest time after seeing them all over Instagram and I finally got my hands on some. After browsing their website for a while and being tempted to order every set that they sell, I chose to buy the Attention Seeker 10 piece essentials set

Spectrum sell sets of unique, colourful and super pretty brushes. They sell a lot of mermaid, unicorn and marble themed products/accessories, which are three of my absolute favourite things. It was a hard decision choosing. Not only are Spectrum good for their pretty things that they sell, but they're also vegan and cruelty-free, which makes them ten times more incredible. The brushes are made from the highest quality synthetic hair and Spectrum say that "no unicorns were harmed in the making", which is really cute.

The Attention Seeker set costs £39.99! The 10 piece set includes brushes you'll need for a full face of makeup. The collection comes with brushes for your face, eyes and lips. The brushes have pink handles and blue bristles, which look extremely pretty and colourful. The bristles are incredibly soft and really good quality. I LOVE applying my makeup with these and have kind of ditched my other makeup brushes at the moment and have reached more for these.

Description about the Attention Seeker brush set:
For creating beautiful looks, beautiful brushes are essential. Our best selling Essential Set has 10 must-have brushes which combined, are the perfect starting point to creating flawless makeup.

Including essentials for face, eyes and lips, if you want to create make-up masterpieces, these are the tools you need to get started.

I'm going to talk a little bit about the brushes, whether I've used them and the individual prices, as you can buy this set individually as well.

A01 Large Domed Powder (£8.99) | You have no idea how long I've been needing an actual powder brush, but haven't gone and got one before. I've been using the Real Techniques Buffing Brush to apply powder and have done since I got it back in 2013. This brush is extremely soft and works really well with loose powder. It's a big brush and applies powder quicker than the buffing brush I used to use.

A05 Small Angled Blush (£6.99) | I have a brush thats the same to this (but a different brand) and I use it for highlighter. I don't really wear a blush, but I do have some blushes to try out, so this came handy in this set. I'm still yet to use this one.

A06 Large Fluffy Shader (£4.99) | I used this for applying a transition shade and matte eyelid shades. It's quite large, but it works really well doing so. I think this would also work well maybe to blend. It's a really good brush.

A09 Angled Eyeliner (£4.99) | I haven't used this yet because I don't own an eyeliner that isn't a felt tip/pen. I'd like to get a gel liner or something to see how well this works. This interested me when it first came because for some reason I was expecting it to be soft like all the other brushes.

A15 Lip Liner (£3.99) | I haven't actually had a chance to use this yet, however I am really interested to see how this works.

A17 Angled Brow (£4.99) | I haven't used this one yet, but it looks like a really good size brow brush. It's exactly the same as a MAC one I used to use, so this looks like it'd work the same.

B01 Flat Top Buffer (£8.99) | I was extremely excited that this set came with a flat top buffer. I've never used a brush for foundation, only a sponge. It blends in my foundation really quickly, easy and I feel like it gives more coverage than a sponge does. I definitely think I'll be using this more than my sponge and I haven't actually used my sponge since.

B03 Buffing Concealer (£4.99) | This was a brush that I was really interested to try out. I used to use the Real Techniques Contour Brush to blend out my concealer before I got into contour. Blending my concealer works so well with a brush and I also like to use this to blend concealer on my eyelids as I used to use a sponge to do that. I feel like it takes a teeny bit longer to blend in than when I use a sponge, however it does look better. It's a really good brush and works so so well.

B04 Angled Blender (£4.99) | I like to use this for applying eyeshadow in my crease and on the outer corner. It blends and applies shadows really well.

B06 Tall Tapered Blender (£4.99) | I used this brush to blend my eyeshadow and it works so well at blending quickly and nicely.

Overall I'm extremely pleased with my first purchase from Spectrum. I definitely want to buy everything they own. These brushes are amazing and so pretty.
