30 things I'm looking forward to in Autumn & Winter

Autumn and Winter are two of my favourite seasons. I love it being colder and wearing jumpers and wooly hats. With Autumn right around the corner (well, some days it already feels like Autumn), I thought I'd share 30 things that I'm looking forward to in Autumn and Winter.

  1. Layering clothes - This is one of my favourite things.
  2. Oversized jumpers
  3. Onesies
  4. Scarves, gloves and (wooly) hats
  5. Boots
  6. Warm pyjamas - I cannot wait to wear long sleeve tops to bed and long, cuffed pyjama bottoms.
  7. Cosy, fluffy socks and slipper boots
  8. Warm drinks - Although I drink so much hot drinks all year round, warm drinks are 100 times better in the Autumn and Winter when it's colder.
  9. Roast dinners - During the Spring and Summer, I don't eat roast dinners and I haven't had one in ageeees. I'm excited to try vegetarian and gluten free roast dinners. I've found exactly what I want and I'm excited to try it all together.
  10. Cinnamon - I LOVE cinnamon.
  11. White hot chocolate and (vegetarian) marshmallows - I don't like normal hot chocolate, I find it very sickly and it makes me sick if I drink even half of it. I only light white hot chocolate and I definitely want to try some vegetarian marshmallows that I found in Holland and Barrett.
  12. Homemade soup - My Mum makes the best homemade soup.
  13. Dark nail polish - I barely wear dark nail polish anymore, but in Autumn and Winter I'm for sure going to wear it more often.
  14. Bronze and gold eyeshadows
  15. Dark and red lipsticks
  16. Autumn and Winter nail art
  17. Blankets
  18. Halloween
  19. Falling and crunchy leaves
  20. Carving pumpkins - Every time, I try to carve a pumpkin differently. I find it so much fun.
  21. Everywhere and everything is Christmassy (well Christmas decorations start coming out in shops quite early)
  22. Cosy nights
  23. It gets dark earlier - I weirdly like it getting dark earlier. It makes the evenings seem SO much longer.
  24. Decorating Christmas trees
  25. Fairy lights - I love having fairy lights all over the house. I have fairy lights up all year round, but now that it's going to get darker earlier, it means I can put them on earlier.
  26. Christmas markets and shops
  27. Snow - On the South Coast of England, we haven't had proper snow in a few years. We've had a small amount that didn't lay, but not like everywhere else in the country. I like knowing there's a possibility of having snow.
  28. Christmas movies and songs - Is it too early to start watching ELF now? To be honest, I listen to Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande's Christmas albums any time of the year...
  29. Big jacket and coats - I've been SO excited to wear my big jackets, coats and my cape (I think it's called a cape) since the weather warmed up in Spring...
  30. Candles - Candles lit in the evening, with a hot drink, warm pyjamas and blankets, is something I'm really looking forward to.
