MAC 'Copper Sparkle' Pigment

Did I really need another eyeshadow? Nope, but obviously I was going to get it anyway. After wanting to try a MAC pigment for absolutely ages, I finally got one and I'm so happy about it. I got the shade 'Copper Sparkle' and it's so pretty. There's so many MAC pigments to choose from and I knew I wanted a coppery/gold eyeshadow first as I knew I'd use it a lot.

This product comes in a small (4.5g) transparent pot with a smooth matte black lid. When you open the lid there's a small plastic part to stop the pigment from spilling everywhere when you open it. I am a bit concerned that I'm going to knock this over EVERYWHERE, but I suppose I could just put it all back in.

Before I apply this I use my Maybelline Colour Tattoo cream eyeshadow in 'On and On Bronze' as a base and this helps the product stick to it. So far I've only used this using my MAC Fix+. Using the Fix+ this eyeshadow is smooth and goes on my eyelids easily. I didn't seem to have much fallout, but it was fine because I do my eyeshadow before anything else so I can easily clean it up. A little goes a long way so you don't need much product on your brush. I haven't tried this without the Fix+ yet so I'm not too sure what it's like without it.

This is so pigmented and comes out a bold shimmery copper (I wish I had done swatches now), which I absolutely love. I like how easily this blends and how easy it is to use. This shade would be perfect for parties and around Christmas time, but I'll be wearing this all the time. I wore this for hours and it didn't crease and it stayed in place all day.

Overall I'm obsessed with this eyeshadow and definitely want to get more shades, they sell so many lovely ones. This was £16 and is available from MACSelfridges and Debenhams. I definitely recommend these!

Do you have any MAC Pigments? If so, what shades? Do you like Pigment eyeshadows?

  1. I've always wanted to try a MAC pigment but know I'll never finish it up so I stay away. The packaging does look a bit of a fuss to deal with. I just picked up the Tatcha rice enzyme powder and it had a little slot to dispense powder from - maybe MAC needs to get in on that and update the packaging to make it more user friendly haha.
