Benefit POREfessional Primer

A few weeks ago I was in Boots and I went to get some primer as mine had very nearly ran out. I came across this mini Benefit POREfessional primer and was eager to try it out as I've heard A LOT of good things about this product. I've recently gotten into primers and I previously had the Maybelline Baby Skin Primer and really liked it, but I wanted to try something new.

Product description on the website: Quickly minimises the appearance of pores and fine lines for smoother-than-smooth skin! Apply this silky, lightweight balm alone, under or over makeup. Translucent, oil-free formula compliments all skintones and helps makeup stay put. Contains Vitamin E derivative, known to protect skin from free radicals.

The tube comes in a lovely light blue striped box and the tube is a plastic tube with a black cap. I actually really like the packaging, I think it looks really nice. I like Benefit's packaging, they're interesting.

This primer is really good, it makes my makeup last longer and makes it look so much better. It smooths my skin and is really soft and has a very silky finish, which is easy to apply! This product itself has a little tint to it before you apply it to your face, but once it's applied to the skin it turns transparent. This primer has a slight scent, but once I've applied this to my face I don't notice it.

I've read that this primer has caused some people to have breakouts, which is something I was a little worried about. I've have a lot of spots that have gotten better, but since using this primer it hasn't gotten any worse, so that's good.

The only thing I haven't tried doing yet is putting it over my makeup, but I don't think I'll try that to be honest. Overall I really like this primer, I think I'd probably repurchase it, but for the 22ml one it's £24.50!
This is the first thing I've had from Benefit so I definitely want to try more of their products.

Have you tried this product? What are your opinions on it?
Also what Benefit recommendations do you have?

  1. I've had this primer for some time now and wouldn't give it up for anything! It's amazing. I usually apply it with my moisturizer, that way it stays on even better, I think. :)
    Lovely review!<3

  5. I tried a sample mini of it before and I liked using it. I was so gutted when it ran out, but I'm not too sure I would purchase a full size one for the price as it didn't completely amaze me!x

  7. I do really like this primer, it really helps when I apply my makeup over the top - I only have a mini sample but really should invest in the larger size!
