Christmas Shortbread Cookies

I woke up in a baking and really festive mood, so I decided to bake some Christmas shortbread cookies! Making shortbread is something that I find so easy, quick and always tastes good. I feel like when I'm making shortbread, I can't really do anything wrong because you literally only have three ingredients.

This is how you make these:

You'll need:
  • 6oz (175g) plain flour
  • 2oz (50g) sugar
  • 4oz (110g) butter
What you need to do:
  1. Preheat the oven to 170 C / 325 F / Gas Mark 3.
  2. Mix together the flour and sugar into a bowl, add the butter and knead well until the mixture binds together.
  3. Use your cookie cutters and then put the cut out cookies onto your tray.
  4. Put them in the oven for about 20 minutes until they're golden brown.

That's pretty much it! Then once they've cooled down you can decorate them. My decorating isn't the best, but they're going to be eaten anyway so it doesn't matter:-)
