Maybelline Master Sculpt Contour Kit

I've had this contour kit for a few months, however I've now decided I want to write a review on it. Contouring has become super popular recently so I decided to give it a go! I'm not the best at contouring and I definitely do need to practice more.

The product comes in this plastic square black case with a little plastic square in the middle so you can see the product. When you lift up the lid, there's the product and then when you lift up the pan, underneath there's a mirror and a brush, which is handy, but I don't use that brush. I use Real Technique's Contour Brush.

Maybelline sells 01 Light Medium and 02 Dark Medium and when I first bought it I thought it was going to be too dark for me, but it isn't, it's very subtle. It's a matte powder, but it blends quite well. This is £6.99 and I got it from Boots.

Overall I like this product, but I do need to practice more with it because I cannot get it how I want to. I do want to try a cream contour too!

Do you prefer cream or powder contours? What reasonable priced cream contour products would you recommend?:-)

  1. Oooh this sounds good, I love contouring at the moment, I actually just purchased the Tanya Burr palette the one with the bronzer highlighter and blusher in and I've been using that to contour. On other days I've used the Bourjois bronzer and highlighter duo, and I used to always use a pretty cheap cream bronzer I think it was from Seventeen or something. I'm using more powdered contours at the minute, but I'd deffo wanna try out the cream ones more! Xxx

  3. I've seen a few good reviews of this - it looks like an excellent one for a contouring newbie (like me!). Definitely will have a proper look next time I'm in Boots!

  6. I haven't tried many contour kits although I think I do prefer cream contours. I quite like using liquid foundations that are a bit darker to contour with too, plus I have a lot of spare foundations from buying the wrong shade! :)
