My top 18 games | PS4, Switch & more

Video games have always been something I've loved, ever since I was younger. In my house, we've had a wide collection of game consoles ranging from a Dreamcast, PS2's, PS3's, PS4's, Wii's, Nintendo DS Lite's etc. My brothers and I love video games. I thought I'd share my top 18 games I highly recommend. These games are either on the PS4, Nintendo Switch, computer or phone.

GTA5 (PS4)
Starting off with my favourite and the game I never get bored of. I've loved the GTA games for so many years, but ever since GTA5 was released in 2013, it's been my all-time favourite game. I used to play it on my PS3 and since 2018, I've played it on my PS4 and it's just an amazing game.

You can play single player and complete the story (which I've done many times) and play as Michael, Franklin and Trevor, or you can create your own online character. I love having an online character. I have a ridiculous amount of cars, I have 3 houses, 3 apartments, an office, a penthouse in the casino, a nightclub, a bunker, a facility, an arcade, a hanger, a motorcycle club and few more places.

GTA5 involves drugs, guns etc, so it is an 18+. There's plenty more that you can buy, which brings in income and there's a good amount of apartments/houses to chose from to hangout in. There's a number of heists you can do, but mine and my brothers favourite heist, has to be the Diamond Casino heist, which is the newest one.

The game is around Los Santos, which is based off Los Angeles. It has Santa Monica pier (Del Perro pier), Hollywood Hills (Vinewood Hills), Rodeo Drive (Patrola Drive) and some more well known places. It's a very fun game and I enjoy driving around, dressing my character, exploring (although I'm out of places to explore, so I re-explore places I forgot about) and doing heists etc.

Modern Warfare (2019) & Modern Warfare remastered (PS4)
Up until the beginning of 2019, I was never that interested in Call Of Duty. I didn't like the look of the games and it wasn't something I thought about playing. My brother and I started playing prop hunt on Modern Warfare remastered back in like 2018 and I thought it was the greatest thing ever. It was so fun. I didn't start playing the game properly until the beginning of last year and I actually enjoy it so much. At first, I was awful and the first time I prestiged, I had a lil meltdown because I had to regain all my stuff back (even though my brother had pre-warned me). After a while it was fine and it became easier every time. I have quite a few guns gold, which is something I never thought would happen.

I also like the new Modern Warfare and although I don't play that as much, I do really like that one as well, I'm just not as good at that one.

Minecraft (PS4)
I was never into Minecraft on the computer unlike my brothers. They would spend hours on Minecraft. It wasn't until I started playing it on the Playstation that I realised why they loved it so much. I just love building houses and towns.

My brother and I have spent agesssss building on there and one time I actually got repetitive strain in my wrist from playing 6+ hours straight and building a house. It buggered up my wrist for about 8 months. I've now learnt my lesson and haven't played Minecraft for longer than a few hours a day since. I have the Millionaire Mansion 2 pack now, which is so much fun as it comes with proper furniture, cars etc and has made building houses easier for doing the interior. I no longer have to make furniture, which I'm very happy about.

That's You (PS4)
That's You is a PS4 game that you download the app for free on your phone and connect it to the game. You control all of it through your phone, which I've always thought is quite clever. My family, boyfriend and I always turn it into a hilarious/slightly rude game.

You basically answer questions and pick the person you think is the most likely to do something etc. The drawing parts have to be my favourite and you can also come up with your own questions beforehand. We basically turn a completely innocent game into a rude one, but it's so funny. I love it.

NBA2K16 (PS4)
I love basketball and I love the NBA games. Although my brother and I play other NBA games, NBA2K16 is probably our favourite, especially because we can listen to the soundtrack over the game and I don't know why they took that feature away. We always play the all-star teams, so we have a mix of people from different teams, which is fun.

Knowledge is Power (PS4)
Knowledge is Power is like That's You, in that you control and connect the game through your phone. This game isn't as funny as That's You because the only funny thing you can make, is your name. We get quite creative with our names to make it more entertaining. Knowledge is Power is a quiz game about certain topics you pick. Sometimes it can be super easy and sometimes it can be really difficult. It's a good game.

Sims 4 (computer)
Last year, Origin released Sims 4 for free for a certain amount of time and I had to get it. I used to be addicted Sims 2 and then Sims on the mobile. Now I'm addicted to Sims 4 and I spend way too much time on it. I don't always create characters as a lot of the time I just create houses and decorate them. I love designing the interiors and exteriors on different worlds. I love getting new packs and playing around with new decor and creating different themed houses. It's a lot of fun.

Mario Kart (Nintendo Switch)
My boyfriends Nintendo Switch is my favourite thing and I'm obsessed with Mario Kart. Racing is something I love and I never get bored of. Cat Peach is my favourite character and the one I always play as. I loveeee playing this with my boyfriend. He got the Switch just before lockdown, so Mario has been great entertainment.

Carnival game (PS4)
The Carnival game is something I used to play on the Wii a lot, however my brother got it on VR on his playstation and it's 10x better in VR. There's a few different games than on the Wii, but it's great. There are 12 game modes:
  • Alley Ball: Roll the ball into one of the holes at the end of the alley.
  • Ring Toss: Throw rings onto pegs.
  • Golden Arm: Knock over the golden milk jugs with a baseball.
  • Down The Stretch: Race to the finish line by rolling the ball into the holes at the end of the ramp.
  • Pop Darts: Hit as many balloons as you can with darts.
  • Shark Tank: Hit the moving target to dunk people into a water tank with sharks.
  • Funnel Cake Stacker: Catch as many funnel cakes on the tray.
  • Swish: Try and get as many basketballs in the hoop in the time given.
  • Haunted House: Go through on a cart and shoot as many targets as you can.
  • Fast Pitch: Try and catch each ball coming towards you at different angles.
  • Shooting Gallery: You have unlimited shots to hit as many targets as you can.
  • Climbing Wall: Climb as fast as you can to the top of the climbing wall.

Happy Colour (app)
Paint by numbers is something I love doing in real life, but the fact that it's also on an app, is great. I love that I can just do it wherever and whenever on the app. There's so much choice of things to colour and I love that. My favourites have to be the interiors.

Job Simulator (PS4)
Another VR game I love, is Job Simulator. It's basically a bunch of floating computers telling you what to do etc, which is slightly odd but funny. You can either work in a restaurant, office, car workshop or a shop and all of them are interesting and fun. I could literally spend hours on this game.

Crew 2 (PS4)
Car games are one of my favourites and the Crew 2 is high up on my list of favourites. It's set in the USA and you can travel to Miami, Vegas, LA, Detroit, New York and some other places. You get an apartment in Miami and you can teleport to other places or drive there.

I actually really enjoy driving across the country and seeing the countryside and different places. You can't get out your car which sometimes annoys me, however it's fun just driving around. You can have a whole bunch of cars, bikes, boats, planes etc and I love the customisations you can do. I love doing the races.

Bus Simulator (PS4)
This is a game on my brothers playstation, but one I love. Who knew driving around in a bus, collecting and dropping off passengers would be such a fun and relaxing game? Bus Simulator is so much better than I thought it was going to be and I love it.

COD Mobile (app)
COD releasing a mobile app is quite possibly one of the best things they could've done. I love being able to play COD wherever I go, whenever I want to. They have some maps that I've played and loved from MW: Remastered, some maps I've seen my brother play in previous games and some maps I've never played nor seen before, so it's an interesting mix. This game is also free.

Lego Worlds (PS4)
Lego Worlds was a game my brother and I spent ages on. I always find the Lego games fun, but this one is different because you build and I love building. Building and decorating the interior and exterior is my favourite. I could spend hours doing it and I love building on Lego Worlds. The only problem is, sometimes it gets rid of walls from your houses which is so frustrating because then I have to rebuild it, but when that doesn't happen, it's a great game.

Lego Undercover (PS4)
A really calming and stress-free game is Lego Undercover. You can free roam in this game which is my favourite. The map has different places from around the world in it, so you can go to San Fransisco, Miami, London, Rome and New York in one map, which is pretty cool. You can do missions and explore. It depends what you want to do.

Farming Simulator 2019 (PS4)
I love farms and I love games, so combine the two together and it's my perfect game. I honestly didn't think I'd enjoy Farming Simulator as much as I do. It's a relaxing game and my brother and I spend hours harvesting our fields, sewing our fields, cutting down trees, feeding and cleaning our animals, selling chicken eggs, doing jobs for people and just keeping up on our farm. I've learnt a lot about farms and the machinery used, so this has been quite educational too in a way.

It's Quiz Time (PS4)
Like That's You and Knowledge Is Power, It's Quiz Time also connects to your phone from the playstation and you can control it through your phone. The lady who hosts the game is some weird robot thing with her arms unattached and floats around the screen. That's the best way to describe her. She likes to insult people sometimes, but it's a good game. She says your name, so if you type in a funny name, it can be hilarious hearing her say it. There's quite a lot of questions and our favourite to do is the 2019 or 2017 one.
