A beauty haul | trying new beauty products

Hauls are something that I very rarely do, but I've recently picked up some new inexpensive beauty items. So far, I haven't tried each beauty item a huge amount, so once I've used them a lot more I'm sure I'll write a blogpost on them.

After reading and hearing so much hype surrounding the Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer (£4), I decided to try it myself and see what it was like. I went to Superdrug as I knew they stock Makeup Revolution in the one near me, but there were only a few shades left. I got the shade that looked the closest to my skin tone, well, thats what I thought anyway. In the shop, it looked like the right shade, buuuut when I got home I realised it was the wrong shade. Its not too different because I can wear it underneath my foundation and it looks absolutely fine. So far I'm really loving this concealer. I've used it quite a few times and I love how good the coverage is. I definitely understand why so many people love this concealer.

I've been needing a new mascara for a while and after loving the Barry M Feature Length Mascara, I knew I wanted to try another mascara from Barry M. In Superdrug there were a few choices, but on a whim I decided to go for the Barry M Showgirl Extra Volumising Mascara (£4.99). I've used this a few times already and so far I'm really impressed. The packaging is very pretty and unique and I like how the brush is a medium size. It separates my lashes well and so far I've only found it to occasionally transfer a teeeeny bit.

Two products from Poundland I decided to try is the Makeup Gallery Eyeshadow Stick and Makeup Gallery Lip Gloss. I have absolutely no idea what shade either of these are called because they don't have names, but I love the look of both of them. I've had them for almost a couple of weeks before using them and so far I've tried them once (for a YouTube video) and I'm 100% going to be writing a post on them.

Instead of repurchasing the Zoella Beauty body scrub, I thought I'd try one from LUSH. Truthfully, I decided to try the one from LUSH because I didn't have the energy to walk to Superdrug which was further away from LUSH. There was a chance that Superdrug wouldn't have the Zoella body scrub, so it was easier to go to LUSH anyway. I'm a huge fan of LUSH and I hadn't tried one of their body scrubs before, so I didn't know quite what I was looking for. I was trying to be as quick as possible and admittedly picked up the first scrub I saw, the Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub (£9.95). I read the reviews online and a lot of people seemed to like it, so I was interested to try this. I've used it often since getting it and I really like it. It has a nice scent to it, it exfoliates well and makes my skin feel very smooth. You can also use this on your hair, so I definitely want to try that at some point.

Burt's Bees has become my favourite for lip balms so I picked up their Coconut and Pear Lip Balm (£3.99). I lost my strawberry one in my room somewhere, so I needed a new one. This is just like my strawberry one but with a different scent. Its a very good lip balm, it makes my lips very soft and is great for this time of the year when my lips are more dry than usual. I wouldn't repurchase this scent again because although its works well and smells more like coconut than pear, if you feel sick a lot (like I do) then the scent isn't great.

I'm really happy with these purchases and I can't wait to use them more and then give you my final thoughts. Have you tried any of these?
