The best drugstore foundation I've tried: Barry M's Flawless Finish Foundation

I have finally purchased a drugstore, cruelty-free foundation. For a while I've been searching for a drugstore, cruelty-free foundation that I can buy in a store near me instead of online. I ran out of my last drugstore foundation months ago and hadn't purchased a new one since. I've either been wearing my high end foundation or none at all. I'm normally someone who likes a drugstore foundation for a month and then decided that I actually really dislike it. So far, after over a month of using this, I'm still really loving this foundation.

Product description on Barry M's website: An oil free formulation, containing soothing moisturisers with skin healing properties, for a flawless matte finish.

The bottle is a matte, plastic bottle with a pump and pink writing. The shade I have is Ivory, which was the lightest shade that I could find in the Superdrug that I went to, but it's the perfect shade and matches really well. I've never had a drugstore foundation that matches as well as this, even though every time I picked up the right shade... There are only six shades available, which are: Porcelain, Ivory, Nude, Beige, Sand and Tan.

I'm really impressed with this foundation. The formula is light, creamy and blends incredibly well. It applies so smoothly and easily, I use a damp beauty blender and I love how it blends in. It isn't caky and it's buildable, however I never seem to build it up. This gives a super nice finish and it doesn't go patchy and it's not drying whatsoever.

The coverage is medium, but like I said, it is buildable. I could see my spots through it once I applied it. After I'd put concealer on and set it with powder, it was absolutely fine. I usually dislike foundations that aren't full coverage, but for some reason this doesn't bother me and I've stopped caring so much about needing full coverage foundations...

This foundation lasted all day. It lasted when I went out in this hot weather that we seem to be having occasionally. I think this foundation is perfect for this time of the year because it's lightweight and it feels like I'm wearing more of a BB Cream. It doesn't feel like I'm wearing a foundation and I love that.

Overall I'm really impressed with this foundation after using it for a month. I think it's a really good foundation. It's £5.99 for a 30g, which I purchased from Superdrug.

Have you tried this foundation? If so, what are your thoughts on it? Whats your favourite drugstore foundations?

  2. I'm just about to finish my current drugstore foundation and this seems like the perfect way forward! I'm about as pale as you get, so ivory would probably be fab for me too. I'll definitely be swatching the tester for this next time I head into Superdrug to see if it's a winner.
