NYX HD Photogenic Concealer
After using the same Rimmel concealer for years, I thought that it was about time that i'd try something different. I'd been wanting to try the NYX HD Photogenic concealer for absolutely ages, but the only problem was that I didn't know where on earth the nearest NYX counter was to me. After googling it and finding out the nearest counter was London, I had to order online. I dislike ordering makeup products online, unless I absolutely have to and in this case I had to. I'd much rather see the products in person, especially when it comes to concealers and foundations.
Product description on NYX website: This lightweight cover-up obscures imperfections discolorations and under eye circles without ever looking cakey or obvious. Little wonder the HD Photogenic Concealer Wand is one of our best-sellers. The concentrated emollient-rich formula goes on like a dream and creates medium to heavy coverage.
I got the shade porcelain. I literally had no idea what to order. Looking at the different shades in the little circles on the Boots website is so difficult. I don't use concealer to cover, I use it to highlight and the porcelain shade is perfect for that and for me.
The packaging is a transparent tube with a black lid. It has a sponge doe-foot applicator, which makes it easy to apply.
The concealer is lightweight and has a medium coverage. The texture is a creamy and velvety texture. It goes on smoothly and blends out really well. I apply this underneath my eyes, bridge of my nose and forehead, then I blend it in with a wet beauty blender and set it with powder. It does set quite quickly, so I do have to blend it in quite quickly. It doesn't look patchy or dry at all.
I read a lot of reviews before I purchased this. Tons of people recommended it, but quite a lot of people said that it creased underneath their eyes. I was a little worried that it would happen, but I haven't had that problem yet whatsoever...thankfully. This concealer stays on so well and lasts all day.
Overall I LOVE this concealer. This was £5.50 from Boots online. I couldn't recommend this enough. I've definitely found my new favourite concealer. I also really want to try their colour correcting concealer.
