4 highlighting products you need in your makeup collection
Highlighters are very popular and I've definitely tried a fair amount, all from different brands. Highlighters have become my favourite and it's no secret that I'm obsessed. I feature highlighters in so many of my blogposts and I've gone on about highlighters waaaay too much, but guess what? Today I'm back, recommending my 4 favourites. 3 0f these are under £10 and one is in a palette with eyeshadows.
The first highlighter is one that I've been using the longest out of all of these 4. The NYX Liquid Illuminator is the first and only liquid illuminator I've tried and I really like it. If you're looking for an inexpensive liquid illuminator, this will do the job. There are 4 shades available in the collection; Sunbeam, Gleam, Sun Goddess and Pure Gold. I have Sunbeam and I really love this shade. The formula is also really good as it's not runny or greasy and it's lightweight. It has a good consistency that makes it easy to apply and blend in. I like to blend it in with either my fingers or beauty blender. Both work very well and smoothly. I'm really impressed with this and it's a staple to my makeup bag. This tube has lasted me over a year as you only need a small amount. This is £8 and is definitely worth the money.
Next up is the ELF x Heart Defensor Highlighter Duo. I have raved about this highlighter duo so much on my blog. The shades in this are Coffee and Cream and they're beautiful. These are powders and they work amazingly well. I've been using this so much since I got it and it's become my most used. Cream is my favourite shade out of the 2 and the one I use the most. I love the formula of this as it's soft, not too powdery, applies easy and is pigmented. This is just a lovely highlighter duo and for £9, this is incredible. It also has a little mirror in which will be handy for travelling.
Now, the next highlighters I'm going to talk about are the ones from the BH Cosmetics x Carli Bybel palette, which contains 10 eyeshadows and 4 highlighters. I decided to add these into this post because the highlighters are some of my favourites and they're ones I use a lot. Along the bottom of this palette are 4 highlighter shades, but only 2 of which I use for highlighters. The highlighters are very good quality and are really pretty. The formula of these are creamy, soft, pigmented, long lasting and easy to apply. I use the first 2 as highlighters and the other 2 as eyeshadows. This prices at £18 and would definitely be worth buying if you'd like the eyeshadows too.
My recently highlighter palette favourite is the Sleek Solstice Highlighter Palette. All 4 shades in this palette are beautiful and so pigmented. Ecliptic is cream, Hemisphere and Equinox are baked powders and Subsolar is a regular powder. I like this palette because there's different formulas and shades, which makes it interesting and gives you a bit of choice. Hemisphere is my favourite shade and most used, which is something I never thought would be the case because I don't usually opt for colourful highlighters. This palette would be great for travelling as it comes with a mirror and a mini brush, which would come in handy if you didn't have one. I have never used the little brush because I have my own, but it's a good size for travelling. This is £9.99 for 4 amazing highlighters.
(Top to bottom): NYX 'Sunbeam', ELF 'Coffee' & 'Cream', Carli Bybel 1, 2, 3 & 4, Sleek 'Ecliptic', 'Hemisphere', 'Equinox' & 'Subsolar'.
Have you used any of these? What are some of your favourite highlighting products?

DeleteI have wanted to try one of those NYX illuminators for ages, the Rose Gold one and Sunbeam look like my ideal kind of shades! Do you apply it before or after foundation? Super curious because I'd be also keen to try mixing it into my foundation too! xx

the Rose Gold one looks so lovely. I personally apply it after foundation, but I think you can apply it before. I've heard people mix it with foundation, but I'm yet to try that xx
