Too Faced Grande Hotel Cafe + swatches | my first Too Faced products
I know that christmas is (sadly) over, but I still wanted to write about the limited edition Too Faced Grande Hotel Cafe. You've probably already seen reviews of this thousands of times, but I wanted to write one as it is my first Too Faced products and I'm excited! I can't believe I've never tried anything from Too Faced before, considering I've wanted to for what feels like forever.
By the way, this blogpost is going to be very photo heavy. It's just too pretty and there is so much to take photos of.
How beautiful is this Grande Hotel Cafe though? I've been seeing photos of this all over social media, blogs and YouTube for agessss. This was a gift for christmas and I absolutely love it. I've read so many amazing things about this christmas set and it's so incredible. It's like the perfect little dollhouse.
The Grande Hotel Cafe is a pretty pink, christmassy hotel. On the front there is a lovely green wreath. The hotel itself comes inside a box thats pretty much identical to the house. To open the hotel, you have to take the roof off and it opens up and closes with a magnetic closure. The cardboard of the hotel is really thick and good quality.
Inside is a christmassy cafe, which is really lovely. It has christmas trees, a wreath and the names of the palettes on the menu. I'm actually tempted to keep this up all year round on my desk and just pretend that it's not christmassy. There are 3 palettes and a deluxe size of the Better Than Sex mascara housed inside.
Altogether there are 18 eyeshadows, 2 blushers and a bronzer. There are 6 eyeshadows in each palette and either a blush or bronzer. Each palette has a different christmas theme and scent. The palettes are called Eggnog Latte, Gingerbread Cookie and Peppermint Mocha. The palettes are a mix of matte and shimmers. The scents of these palettes are the same as the palettes. They're not very strong scents, but still smell really good.
Peppermint Mocha palette | (left to right) Peppermint Cream, Christmas Blend, Peppermint Mocha, Candy Cane, Sprinkle, Coffee Chip and Santa Baby.
I think my favourite shades from this palette have to be Christmas Blend and Sprinkles. Sprinkles is beautiful. Candy Cane looks like a very pretty shade, but I'm yet to try it out. Santa Baby is a very pretty blush, although it does look a little bright. I need to try this and see whether I like it or not. The packaging for this palette is probably my favourite. I love pink. So pretty!
Eggnog Latte palette | (left to right) Frosty Nog, Eggnog Latte, Iced Coffee, Skinny Latte, Cold Brew, Central Perk and Peach Cobbler.
Eggnog Latte, Iced Coffee, Skinny Latte and Cold Brew are my favourite shades from this palette. Skinny Latte is my favourite matte shade out of every matte eyeshadow in the palettes. I love that they have a shade called Central Perk and it looks like a pretty green. Whether I'll use that often, I don't know, but I need to create a look with it. Peach Cobbler is a blush and I can't decide whether I prefer the Santa Baby or Peach Cobbler blush because they're both SO pretty. I also love the packaging for this. The blue is really pretty.
Gingerbread Cookie palette | (left to right) Ginger Cream, Maple Syrup, Gingersnap, Winter Dream, Cup of Joe, Black Coffee and Gingerbread.
Maple Syrup, Gingersnap and Winter Dream are my favourites. Gingerbread is a bronzer and it looks really nice, but I haven't tried it yet. I think Winter Dream is my absolute favourite shade from all the palettes, I've been using it a lot. I also love this palette scent. Gingerbread is one of my favourite scents.
So far I've used more shimmery shades than matte. The shadows are soft, creamy, easy to blend and most of them are pigmented (there are a few that aren't the greatest, as you can tell from the swatches). The size of the palettes are also really good and seem like great palettes to travel with.
I'm really happy with my first Too Faced products and I'll definitely be buying more from them. I'm impressed with all the eyeshadows that I've tried so far and need to start trying the blushers and bronzer.
I'm going to write a separate post on the Better Than Sex mascara, otherwise this post will be too long. I've wanted to try this mascara for so so long, so I'm really happy that a deluxe size came with this set.
Whats your favourite thing from Too Faced? Have you got this set?
